THE wait for ARIANA GRANDE to perform again in the UK is finally coming to an end.

IT’S THE GRANDE TOUR

Seven years on, Ariana back in UK for five nights at The O2

THE wait for ARIANA GRANDE to perform again in the UK is finally coming to an end. By next summer, it will have been seven years since she last played a gig over here. But the US superstar has delighted fans by announcing a return to the stage — with a residency at London’s O2 Arena. She is due to play five nights between August 15 and 23, but moves are already being made behind the scenes to potentially extend the run due to the expected demand.

The last time she performed at The O2 was on her 2019 Sweetener Tour when she played five nights there, as well as two shows in Birmingham and one in Sheffield. She will kick off The Eternal Sunshine Tour in California in June and perform across North America, but her gigs in London are due to be her only European dates.

Tickets will be available through an O2 Priority presale on Tuesday September 16, followed by general sale on September 18. The emotional Eternal Sunshine album, released in March 2024, was all about the breakdown of her marriage to Dalton Gomez and finding love with her Wicked movie co-star ETHAN SLATER. But Bizarre understands some new, more uplifting music is in the works to be released ahead of the huge shows.

Keen to stick with the theme of her Brighter Days short film, Ari’s creative director Christian Breslauer is also on board to mastermind the tour. A source said: “Ariana is raring to go with her return to the stage. “She has spent a couple of years acting but feels in a really good spot to tour again. “Right now it’s only a few dates but there is always scope to add more when, not if, they sell out. “Ari has been vocal about wanting to perform for her fans again, but also not wanting to live her life on the road.” Ariana has taken a break from music over the past 12 months to focus on acting.

Her role as Glinda in Wicked has seen her become one of the most in-demand stars in Hollywood, getting her an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Ariana previously said of balancing different areas of her career: “Music will always be a part of my life, but I feel so grateful to the acting, “I think in the next few years, hopefully, we’ll be exploring different forms of art, and acting is feeling like home right now.”
